The 2024 First Edition Literary Gala will be held at the Fairmont Austin on Friday, November 15th at 6:00pm. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year, providing much-needed resources to fulfill our mission and fund our programs.
The Texas Book Festival is a non-profit organization which aims to connect authors and readers through experiences that celebrate the culture of literacy, ideas, and imagination. Gala proceeds make it possible for TBF to bring books and authors to 15,000 students in Title I schools every year, award grants to Texas public libraries, and keep the annual Festival free for all.
Our 2024 Gala will feature authors bestselling author Bret Anthony Johnston, Booker Prize long-listed author Claire Messud, 2024 Pulitzer Prize winner Cristina Rivera Garza, NAACP Image Award winner Jay Ellis, and beloved presidential historian Mark Updegrove. Check out our 2023 Gala photos.
