Program Overview

Since our founding in 1995, promoting literacy and supporting Texas libraries have been integral to our mission. Each year, funds raised during the annual Texas Book Festival Weekend support grants that are distributed to libraries across Texas the following year. To date, the organization has funded 1,562 grants totaling more than $3.9 million in every corner of the state. Our goal is for these grants to assist libraries with enhancing their print, e-book, and audiobook collections with materials that meet the unique needs of their communities.
