Texas Institute of Letters Presents: 2025 Youth Literature Award Winners

Each year the Texas Institute of Letters recognizes outstanding literary works by Texas authors. Join us to celebrate three of the 2025 award winners: Lyla Lee won the Deirdre Siobhan FlynnBass Award for Best Middle Grade Book for Gigi Shin is Not a Nerd, Jonny Garza Villa won the Jean Flynn Award for Best Young Adult Book for Canto Contigo, and Laekan Zea Kemp won the Brigid Erin Flynn Award for Best Picture Book for Desert Song.
