Reading Rock Stars

The Reading Rock Stars program brings nationally recognized authors and illustrators to Title I elementary schools across Texas, inspiring young readers through interactive presentations and conversations. Each student receives a signed copy of the featured book, funded by the Texas Book Festival, to take home after the event.

Real Reads brings renowned authors to middle and high schools, where students connect with writers, learn about their creative process, and receive a signed copy of the author’s book. This program fosters a love of reading by inspiring young minds through engaging literary discussions.

Texas Library Grants

Since its founding in 1995, Texas Book Festival has been dedicated to promoting literacy and supporting Texas libraries. To date, TBF has awarded over $3.5 million in grants to more than 600 libraries across the state, enhancing their collections and expanding access to diverse literature.
