Simone Talma Flowers is a visionary leader and bridge-builder who serves as the Executive Director of Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT), where she works to cultivate peace and respect through interfaith dialogue, service, and celebration. With over 30 years of nonprofit leadership, Simone is passionate about breaking down barriers that divide us and creating spaces where people of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds can come together in unity. Her work is driven by a deep belief that every person—regardless of age, gender, religion, or culture—deserves access to opportunities that allow them to live into their fullest potential. A graduate of St. Edward’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an MBA, Simone has become a trusted voice in Austin, serving on numerous boards and initiatives addressing equity, health, and community resilience. Her leadership has been recognized with prestigious honors including the Gulen Peace Award, Leadership Austin’s Outstanding Alumni Award, the Women Communicators of Austin’s Anne Durrum Robinson Creative Initiative Award, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Communitarian Award. Simone was honored as a Fab Five honoree by the Seedling Foundation, received AISD’s Unsung Hero Award, and delivered the 2024 commencement address at her alma mater.
