Michael Barnes has written about the people, places, culture and history of Austin and Texas for 36 years. His work now appears in the Austin American-Statesman, San Antonio Express-News and Houston Chronicle. His five-volume history series, Indelible Austin, is available at the Austin History Center Association tent during the festival.
