Lois Kim serves as Chief Development Officer at the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin where she leads development efforts for the internationally renowned research library, museum, and archive. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree and PhD in English from The University of Texas at Austin, where she also worked in continuing education program development and administration. Kim served for ten years as CEO and Executive Director of the Texas Book Festival from 2013 – 2023. Her cultural arts service includes many years on the Library Foundation Board of the Austin Public Library and on various national and local committees for literary awards and grants, including the nominating committee for the Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction and the nominating committee for the Texas Medal of Arts Award.
