Lois Kim serves as Chief Development Officer of the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin where she leads development efforts for the internationally renowned humanities research library and museum. Lois earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan and her master’s degree and PhD in English from The University of Texas at Austin. She served as an associate director in the Continuing Education Division of UT Austin before leaving to serve as Executive Director of the Texas Book Festival. During her ten years at TBF, Lois grew its signature annual festival, expanded its K-12 literacy programs across the state, and doubled the staff and operating budget. Her cultural arts service has included many years on the Library Foundation Board of the Austin Public Library and various national and local committees for literary awards and grants, including the nominating committee for the Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction and for the Texas Medal of Arts Award.
