Kathy Blackwell is an executive editor at Texas Monthly, where she oversees all lifestyle coverage, including the 2023 National Magazine Award finalist “Springs Eternal.” She contributed to the magazine’s 2021 book Being Texan (Harper Wave). She serves on the boards of Richard Linklater’s Austin Film Society and American Short Fiction.
