Jennifer joined KUT 90.5 FM in April of 2004 and began hosting local portions of NPR’s Morning Edition that May. She used to joke that while she loved the hosting job, the early morning hours were tough, and that it would for sure not be the job that she would retire from. It turns out the joke was on her because it has been over 21 years and she is still setting that early morning alarm. She really can’t tell you exactly why she has stayed so long — except to say that she honestly cannot imagine doing anything else. It doesn’t feel like a “job” she says. Jennifer has a B.A. in Psychology from Williams College and an M.S. in Radio-Television-Film from Syracuse University. Prior to working at KUT, she worked in everything from sales to production to music hosting to local news reporting for Berkshire Broadcasting in Western Massachusetts. She also worked as a local news host, anchor, reporter and editor for WAER in Syracuse, New York.
