Emily Hunt Kivel is an author from Petaluma, California, the arm wrestling capital of the world. Her short fiction appears in the Paris Review, BOMB, and New England Review, among others, and her short story for American Short Fiction was a finalist for the National Magazine Award. Her debut novel, Dwelling, a fairy tale set at the apex of the housing crisis, will be coming out in 2025 on Farrar, Straus & Giroux.
