Dr. Daniel Guerrero, MSLE, Ed.D. is an educator, consultant, and civic leader with a passion for community, culture, and conversation. A former three-term mayor of San Marcos, Texas, he now serves as a graduate professor at Concordia University Texas, where he teaches leadership, global business, and community engagement. In his consulting work with Upward Communities, Dr. Guerrero helps create housing solutions that support essential workers across Texas. An avid supporter of the literary arts and proud member of the Texas Book Festival community, he also counts himself a devoted fan of Texas barbecue—believing that few things bring people together quite like good stories and great food.
