Dan Goodgame is senior adviser to the owner of Texas Monthly. He served as the magazine’s editor in chief for six years, through the end of 2024. During that time, Texas Monthly became one of the few U.S. publications to grow rapidly in audience and revenue, while doubling its editorial team to more than 60 journalists. A Pulitzer Prize finalist and best-selling author, Goodgame has worked as an investigative reporter and Middle East correspondent for the Miami Herald and as White House correspondent and Washington bureau chief for TIME magazine. He resides in San Antonio.
