Rick Bass is a Texas native who has lived in Montana for nearly forty years. Winner of Pushcart Prizes, O. Henry Awards, and many more, Bass’s recent books include With Every Great Breath: New and Selected Essays, 1995-2023 and Fortunate Son: Selected Essays from the Lone Star State.
