Emma Sloley is the author of two novels, The Island of Last Things and Disaster’s Children. Emma began her career as a magazine editor before moving to New York and working as a travel writer. She has been awarded residences and fellowships by Macdowell and Bread Loaf, and her short fiction and creative non-fiction has been published in journals such as The Common, Joyland, Literary Hub, and CRAFT. Born in Australia, Emma now divides her time between California and the city of Mérida, Mexico.
