Join Literacy First in celebrating the life-changing power of literacy education in honor of its 30th anniversary as a program. Literacy First is an outreach program from The University of Texas at Austin that teaches young children how to read, equipping them to excel in life and realize their dreams. Through high-impact tutoring in English and Spanish, Literacy First has supported over 30,000 students in becoming confident, lifelong readers since its founding in 1994. In this commemorative storytelling hour, Literacy First staff and tutors share the impact of the program on their lives and careers.
