Ever wonder how a book becomes a movie? Hear from a trio of Festival authors whose books have been adapted for film/television. May Cobb’s book The Hunting Wives will soon be a Starz original series, set to debut in 2025. Rumaan Alam’s book Leave the World Behind was adapted into a movie starring Academy Award winning-actors Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali in 2023, and Ernest Cline’s #1 New York Times bestseller Ready Player One was adapted for the big screen in 2018 and directed by Steven Spielberg. Join us for an illuminating discussion about the adaptation process from the perspective of three celebrated authors.
