Jennifer Chang and Sasha West encourage us to shift the way we understand and respond to war, patriarchy, generational trauma, and climate change. Fiercely intimate and delightfully lyrical, Chang's An Authentic Life is contemplative, moving through family narratives, childhood memories, and shared hardship to reveal knowledge and, in turn, power. In West's How to Abandon Ship, she wades through ancient past and modern present, spinning myth and confronting tragedies to urge us to act. In this session, Chang and West will give a reading from their books and discuss what we can take from our grief.
