Debut Novelists with Texas Ties
1:45 PM - 2:30 PM
Sunday, November 17
Texas State Library & Archives Commission (TSLAC) (1201 Brazos St, Austin, TX 78701)
Join a talented trio of debut novelists with Texas ties for a discussion on their highly-anticipated (and very different!) new books. Parsons’ We Were the Universe, fearlessly explores sisterhood, motherhood, marriage, psychedelics, and the transcendent shape of love. Guild’s Plastic, offers both a crypto-comedic dystopian fantasy as well as a deadly serious dissection of our farcical pre-apocalypse world. Puyana’s Freedom is a Feast, draws from the author's real-life experiences as it weaves a multigenerational Latin American saga of love, revolution, and second chances.
