Archana Vemulapalli

Archana is a Program Management consultant at Dell and has always been enthusiastic about volunteering for the community. She serves as a board member on South Asian Austin Moms (SAAM), a non-profit organization founded in 2014 that hosts educational and cultural events with proceeds going to charitable causes that empower women and help children in the Austin community. As part of SAAM she co-organized the 2018 spring traveling exhibit in Austin called Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation created by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) in partnership with Asian American Resource Center (AARC) to showcase the diverse contributions that Indian immigrants and Indian Americans made to shaping the United States. An avid reader, writer drawn to all forms of writing she’s a huge supporter of literacy and education and is passionate about the Texas Book Festival. She lives in Austin with her husband and two daughters.
