Discovering STEM at the Festival!

October 8, 2018

Calling all curious minds: the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering is bringing their Trailblazer to the Texas Book Festival!

Where: East side of 10th and Congress
When: Saturday, October 27, 10am-5pm and Sunday, October 28, 11am-5pm
Who: Exhibits are designed for kids in grades 3-8, but children of all ages will enjoy what the Trailblazer has to offer!

TAME’s Trailblazer is a hands-on mobile science museum that travels all across Texas, encouraging students to explore and question the world they live in. Inside the trailer, volunteers share their enthusiasm about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by leading children through hands-on exhibits on:

  • Aerodynamics
  • Biotechnology/Medicine
  • Energy
  • Space
  • Weather

Austin-based tech company, Cirrus Logic, has generously sponsored the TAME Trailer at the Texas Book Festival. Cirrus Logic is a leading developer of audio software that we use every day on our computers and our smartphones. They will also be joining in to share their firsthand the knowledge of a STEM education and are helping TAME make sure that no one misses out on all the possibilities that come with access to STEM instruction.
