What I work on
I work on cultivating relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations centered around a shared commitment to connecting authors and readers. Additionally, I oversee grants and the production of fundraisers including the annual First Edition Literary Gala, a black tie celebration of literacy and the literary arts.
Why I work here
From my earliest memories, books have provided me with companionship and comfort. It is the adventures, perspectives, and ideas found in books that have fueled my imagination and driven me to take the biggest risks and build a meaningful life. It often takes just the right book to turn someone into a reader. It’s a great privilege to be a part of the team so devoted to doing just that.
My education and experience
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley where I studied rhetoric followed by a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University. In my prior life I worked with investment banks to optimize their business strategies and grow their market share. In this life, I hope TBF can contribute to increasing the market share of attention that books hold in people’s lives.
More about me
I have four diverse, interesting, quirky children who make my view of the world bigger every day. Introducing them to my favorite books and discovering new ones together has been one of the great joys of my life.
