Suchitra Gururaj, Ph.D. is a scholar-practitioner of community engagement. She has served as the inaugural assistant vice president for community engagement at The University of Texas at Austin for over a decade. As co-creator of UT’s Front Porch Gatherings, she prioritizes storytelling in her work. As faculty in UT’s College of Liberal Arts, her teaching and research focuses on university-community partnerships and social inclusion policies in higher education. She is a recipient of a Ragdale residency and has been published widely in professional outlets.
