Stephanie Macias is a writer, artist, and musician living in Austin, TX. She received an MFA in fiction from the University of Texas at Austin and was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference in 2024. Her stories have been a finalist for Michigan Quarterly Review’s Jesmyn Ward Prize in Fiction, longlisted for the DISQUIET Prize, and nominated for Best of the Net (2025) and Pushcart (2019). Her work has appeared in Brink, No Tokens, Southern Humanities Review, Crazyhorse, and more. She is the managing editor at American Short Fiction.
