Doyin Oyeniyi was born in Nigeria but has lived in Texas for most of their life. Since graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BJ in multimedia journalism, Doyin has written about race, immigration, abortion access, and gun violence in the U.S. and has interviewed many Texas artists, writers, and filmmakers. Doyin is an Assistant Editor at Texas Monthly, where they checks facts and write about culture and entertainment.
