Ben Philpott is managing editor of the local KUT Newsroom in Austin. Before moving into management, Ben was the station’s political reporter and covered state politics and policy. That includes spending months on the road with Governor Rick Perry when he ran for President. Born in New York City and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ben is a graduate from the Univeristy of Alabama.
