Through our annual Festival and year-round statewide programs, we produce diverse, high-quality programming that brings readers together with the leading writers of our time.
Inspiring Readers of All Ages
Our flagship Festival features a diverse range of authors and books, from children’s picture books, middle grade and young adult literature to fiction and nonfiction for adult readers. Beyond the Festival, we bring TBF programs into Title I schools across the state throughout the year, connecting young readers with inspiring authors and building students’ home libraries through books we donate.
Celebrating Literary Legacy
We host the year’s most celebrated books and authors at our annual Festival and through our year-round programs. One of the biggest and most beloved literary events in the country, the Texas Book Festival brings together today’s most celebrated writers and uniquely showcases Texas’ own diverse literary lineage by featuring writers that connect to the great state of Texas.
For nearly 30 years, Texas Book Festival has delivered on our mission to connect authors and readers. Thanks to our donors, we have kept the Texas Book Festival free, brought books and authors to 178,000 students in Texas Title I schools, and granted more than $3,500,000 to Texas public libraries!
